The Swig Company Jeanne Myerson Before joining The Swig Company in 1997, Ms. Myerson was president and chief executive officer of Bailard Biehl & Kaiser Real Estate Investment Trust, a private REIT with a diversified, national investment portfolio. During her tenure, she grew the BB&K REIT from $60 million to $250 million in assets. Prior to joining BB&K, Ms. Myerson was worldwide director of facilities and real estate for NeXT Computer, Inc., of Redwood City, California. Ms. Myerson joined NeXT from Metropolitan Life Real Estate Investments where she held senior management positions in Boston, New York, and Northern California. Ms. Myerson has been recognized as one of the most influential women in the San Francisco business community by the San Francisco Business Times, is a member of the Executive Committee of the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, and member of the board of directors of BRE Properties, Inc., a NYSE-listed developer and operator of multi-family properties. Background Information: The Swig Company, headquartered in San Francisco, is a private real estate investment company with significant interests in a portfolio of quality commercial property assets in major cities across the U.S. The real estate portfolio includes interests in downtown and suburban office buildings, full-service luxury hotels and credit-leased commercial buildings. The Swig Company also operates its own property management arm. The company has more than 40 years of operating history, much of it as a family-run operation. Founded in the immediate post-war period by Ben Swig, the company currently has a full time staff of 15, not including property management staff. Early in 1997, family shareholders of the company unanimously decided to retain professional outside management to run the firm and hired Jeanne Myerson, an experienced property portfolio manager, as chief executive officer.
