Chauncey C. Mayfield
President and CEO
Chauncey Mayfield has been the primary visionary, strategist
and architect of MayfieldGentry Realty Advisors, LLC, from
its inception. His expertise in value-added real estate investment
reflects more than 25 years of experience. A good example of
his recent work is the $30 million Grand Park Centre redevelopment
project in downtown Detroit, which included creating successful
financing, construction and marketing strategies that have generated
significant improvements, cost savings and financial returns
for the owners, in spite of its distressed market condition
and its historically poor financial performance. A graduate
of Harvard Business School with an MBA, and an innate entrepreneur,
Mr. Mayfield's hands-on experiences in residential, office and
industrial development, construction and management of properties
have led MGRA to grow from $15 million in assets in 2004, to
approximately $430 million at year-end 2006.
W. Emery Matthews
Chief Investment Officer
W. Emery Matthews possesses a strong background
in asset management, with prior responsibilities including direct
leasing for over 3.7 million square feet of commercial space,
and closing on more than 1 million square feet during his term
as Director of Leasing for Hines Interests LP. At MayfieldGentry,
Mr. Matthews oversees all asset management, acquisition and
disposition activities. A graduate of Harvard Business School,
Mr. Matthews also holds a Juris Doctorate from Harvard Law.
Marsha L. Bass
Executive Vice President
Ms. Bass Atwater has been a key element to the firm's success
in growing its national organization. She directs MayfieldGentry
Realty Advisor's internal operations, policies and procedures,
corporate marketing initiatives, and internal and external communications.
Also, by coordinating the development and utilization of the
firm's comprehensive research databases, she oversees a unique
program to increase MGRA's depth of knowledge on market trends.
Ms. Bass Atwater holds an M.B.A in marketing from University
of Wisconsin-Madison.

was founded in 2003, with $15 million under management, by Chauncey
C. Mayfield, a 25-year veteran of the real estate industry with expertise

As of 2007, MGRA held approximately $713 million in assets

retail, industrial and multifamily - in target markets with significant
