Stuart Shiff
Senior Principal
Mr. Shiff is primarily responsible for leading
the firm's investment and management strategies. Mr. Shiff has
directed the acquisition of over fifteen million sq. ft. of
commercial property throughout the U.S. and Canada. Prior to
founding DivcoWest Properties in 1993, Mr. Shiff worked as a
development officer responsible for land entitlement, development,
construction, and leasing at Divco Ltd., a leading family owned
Canadian development and construction company. He holds a Bachelor
of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of
California at Berkeley and is a member of the American Society
of Civil Engineering, Urban Land Institute, and the Pension
Real Estate Association. Mr. Shiff currently serves on the board
of the Real Estate Academic Initiative at Harvard University
and the policy advisory board of the Fisher Center for Real
Estate & Urban Economics at the University of California
Berkeley Haas School of Business.
Robert Mashaal
Senior Principal
Mr. Mashaal is primarily responsible for overseeing
the firm's asset management and leasing functions. Mr. Mashaal
is the founder and President of Yale Properties USA a full-service
privately owned Real Estate Investment Company whose major operations
were merged with DivcoWest in 2006. Yale USA was established
in 1991 as an independent affiliate of Yale Properties Limited,
a longstanding family-owned real estate investment and development
company based in Montreal, Canada. Prior to founding Yale USA,
Mr. Mashaal worked in real estate acquisitions and development
with CIBC Development Corporation and Cadillac Fairview Corporation
and in investment banking with Ladenburg, Thalmann and Bear
Stearns. Mr. Mashaal holds a Master of Science degree in Management
from MIT's Sloan School of Management, a Master of Science degree
in Real Estate Development from MIT's Center for Real Estate
Development and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University
of Pennsylvania's Wharton School.
Ted Knetzger
Senior Principal
Mr. Knetzger is DivcoWest's Chief Operating Officer, and is primarily responsible for overall corporate strategy and internal management of the Company. Mr. Knetzger is one of the co-founders of Greenwich Capital Markets, LLC, presently known as RBS Greenwich Capital, where Mr. Knetzger is Vice Chairman and also previously served as the President, Chief Executive Officer, and Chairman. Prior to Greenwich Capital Markets, Inc., Kidder Peabody & Company employed Mr. Knetzger where he was Co-Manager and Head Trader of Kidder Peabody's Government Bond Trading Department. Mr. Knetzger received his Bachelor of Arts degree and Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Virginia.
