Chauncey C. Mayfield, Chairman & CEO

Chauncey C. Mayfield has been the primary visionary, strategist, and architect of Portfolio Property Management Global, LLC (PPM Global, LLC) from its inception. PPM Global’s founder and creator, Mr. Mayfield is an innate entrepreneur, well prepared for the real estate arena from his previous entreprenuerial, public and private sector experiences. His expertise in real estate reflects more than 25 years of residential, office, retail and industrial development, construction and management experience.
 
Currently, PPM Global, LLC has a national portfolio of commercial properties including institutional quality office, light industrial, multi-family and retail properties located in some of the strongest real estate markets in the country including California, Florida, Nevada, Virginia, Michigan, North Carolina and Arizona.
Prior to forming PPM Global, LLC, Mr. Mayfield was the President and Chief Executive Officer of ShoreBank Development, Detroit, an affiliate of Chicago’s ShoreBank Corporation of Chicago. In that capacity, he was responsible for the management and direction of a domestic and international real estate development firm founded to create large scale residential and commercial development projects, attract institutional capital and abate long standing erosion of depressed market values within targeted investment areas. During his tenure at ShoreBank, he developed over 686 residential units valued at $68.6 million, delivered a 44% return on investment on commercial rehabilitation projects and led his strategic planning team in the development of a corporate wide plan that successfully competed in domestic and international expansion markets, generating incremental revenue for ShoreBank.
 
Mr. Mayfield previously served as Deputy Director of Economic Development for the City of Boston’s Economic Development and Industrial Corporation where he directed the management and development of the agency’s three industrial parks. With a combined value in excess $300 million, the parks included 3 million square feet of mixed use office and light manufacturing space and 200 acres of land. Mr. Mayfield also served as the Director of the Boston Industrial Development Financing Authority. As Director, he was responsible for closing in excess of $1 billion dollars in taxable and tax-exempt-bond transactions. Mr. Mayfield has also served as Director of Real Estate Development for Davenport Associates, LLC., a Boston-based regional housing developer of high-end single-family homes. In this position, he developed residential projects valued at $100 million.
 
Mr. Mayfield has taught real estate development and finance at the professional and novice levels for Lesley College, Pratt Institute and the Boston Center for Adult Education. He has also taught development and finance seminars for the City of Detroit’s Planning & Development Department. Mr. Mayfield holds a Bachelor of Science degree, with honors, in Political Science from Tuskegee Institute and a Masters in Business Administration, with an emphasis on Real Estate and Finance, from the Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration.
