Ms. Díaz provides in-house legal counsel including contract negotiations, lease agreements, collection and other legal property matters. Prior to joining PPM Global, LLC , Ms. Díaz was Executive Director of ShoreBank Enterprise Detroit, a non-profit affiliate of the ShoreBank Corporation. There Ms. Díaz developed a subordinated debt fund for high-risk commercial borrowers, and directed pre-development for a 300-home development within the City of Detroit valued at $100 million upon completion. Ms. Díaz fomerly worked as a commercial and product liability litigation specialist for the prestigious Detroit-based firm Dickinson Wright PLC, servicing clients including McNeil Labortories, the former Chrysler Corporation and Dow Chemical. In the public and non profit sectors she also served as a Judicial Law Clerk with the Michigan Supreme Court, was a senior member of the Development Department for one of the state’s five largest non-profits, and served as a senior administrator in former Detroit Mayor Dennis W. Archer’s administration, focusing on the leverage of private philanthropic dollars with public financing for municipal real esate development. Ms. Díaz earned both her undergraduate and law degrees from Wayne State University. She also received a National Fellowship from the John A. and James Knight Foundation/University of Miami School of Architecture for the study of new urbanism in real estate development.
